AN ODYSSEY BEGINS

In 1969, Royal Sporting House commenced trading in Singapore as the buying house for the Gills’ family chain of sports stores in Indonesia. Founded by Mr M. S. Gill and his son, J. S. Gill, Royal Sporting House engaged primarily in the sourcing of sporting goods in the early years. In 1977, J. S. Gill took over the reins of the business from his father, starting the business from scratch and incorporating Royal Sporting House Pte Ltd on 28 September 1977.
